HENDRY COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the Hendry County Local Planning Agency will hold a Public Hearing on February 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the Hendry County Courthouse, Commission Chambers, 25 East Hickpochee Avenue, LaBelle, Florida, to consider amending the Land Development Code ordinance entitled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HENDRY COUNTY AMENDING THE COUNTYS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO AMEND CHAPTER 1-53-4.1, TABLE 53-2. TABLE OF DIMENSIONAL AND DENSITY REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS OF LAW; PROVIDING FOR APPLICABILITY, CODIFICATION, INCLUSION IN CODE, AND SCRIVENERS ERRORS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The recommendation of the Local Planning Agency will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners for consideration at a public hearing on February 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers, Hendry County Courthouse, 25 East Hickpochee Avenue, LaBelle, Florida and final consideration at a public hearing on March 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Clewiston Commission Chambers, 115 West Ventura Avenue, Clewiston, Florida.
Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing with respect to the proposed ordinance. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection on weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Hendry County Attorneys Office, 110 Broward Avenue, LaBelle, Florida. If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, he/she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
