NOTICE OF DUNNELLON CITY COUNCIL SEAT VACANCY
Notice is hereby given that the City of Dunnellon is seeking interested, qualified electors to submit an application to fill the unexpired term of Glen Stocker, Council Seat 2 until the November 4, 2026 City Council Election. You must reside within the incorporated City of Dunnellon to apply for this vacancy.
Pursuant to the City Charter, Section 8, Elections: No person shall be eligible to hold office who shall not at the time of his election be a qualified elector of said city, residing within the territory thereof; and in case any officer shall remove his residence beyond the limits of said city his office shall thereby immediately become vacant. In case any vacancy shall occur in any city office, such vacancy shall be filled by a majority vote of all the members of the City Council, and the person so appointed by the City Council shall hold office until the next annual or special election of officers and until his successor is elected and qualified.
Following appointment, the selected candidate will be required to file a Financial Disclosure Form-1 in accordance with State regulations.
A completed application must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, March 2, 2026 in order to be considered.
