LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF QUASI-JUDICIAL PUBLIC HEARING The Sumter County Planning Zoning Special Master will hold a public hearing on February 16, 2026, at 5:00 P.M at The Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163 to consider the following application: Case No: ZON26-000002 Applicant: Richard and Brittney Wright General Location: Lake Panasoffkee Area North of CR 464 and CR 482N Legal Description: Begin as a Point of Beginning at mile post on the East boundary of Section 5, Township 20 South, Range 22 East, Sumter County, Florida, thence run North 572 feet, thence West 210 feet, thence South 571 feet, thence East 15 feet, thence North 165 feet, thence East 100 feet, thence South 165 feet, thence East to Point of Beginning. Requested Action: Rezoning on 2.34 acres MOL from Urban Residential Minimum One-Half Acre with Conventional Housing (R2C) to Rural Residential Minimum One Acre with Conventional Housing (RR1C) to permit the placement of one (1) Class A mobile home. The recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Special Master will be presented to the Board of Sumter County Commissioners at a Public Hearing on March 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Everglades Recreation Center 5497 Marsh Bend Trail, The Villages, FL 32163. The proposed change may be inspected by the public at the Planning and Floodplain Division, The Villages Sumter County Service Center, 7375 Powell Rd, Wildwood between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 286, Florida Statutes, if a person decides to appeal any action taken by an above named Board respect to any matter considered during any meeting of such Board, he or she will need a record of the proceedings and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record may include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.
