LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed bids must be submitted electronically through bidexpress.com, until 11:00 am Ohio time on April 6th, 2026 and will then be opened at the Mayor' s office at 210 Parkway in Ravenna and read for:
"ANNUAL PAVING PROGRAM- CONTRACT 2026-A"
The proposed work under this contract includes asphalt planning and resurfacing, asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete roadway repairs, asphalt and concrete road base repairs, curb ramp and sidewalk replacements, replacement of and installation of new storm structures, removing and relaying brick pavers, and associated work items. The estimated cost for this project is $1,226,500 without alternate items and $1,420,400 with all alternate items.
Copies of Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined online on BidExpress and at the office of the City Engineer, 530 North Freedom Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Copies will not be available to purchase at this office.
The electronic bids can only be submitted through Bid Express and must be electronically endorsed by the Bidder. Contract documents are available through the Bid Express Website at: https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/ 54074/home. Registration with Bid Express is free and allows for the Bidder to review, download, and print all contract documents. A digital ID along with a per bid fee of $50.00 or a $60.00 monthly subscription will be required for the Bidder to submit an electronic bid. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid surety furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety in an amount as allowed by Treasury Circular 570. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.
Bidders must comply with the wage rates for Public Improvements in Portage County and in the City of Ravenna, Ohio as determined by the State Prevailing Wages for this work.
The Board of Control reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
