ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS LEGAL NOTICE Sealed bids, submitted to the attention of Kenneth P. Mikula, City Engineer, will be received at the Office of the City Engineer of the City of Strongsville, Ohio at 16099 Foltz Parkway, Strongsville, Ohio until 10:00 A.M. on April 28, 2026 for: BEECH CREEK TRAIL AND BROOKSTONE WAY WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT This project involves the replacement of watermain on Beech Creek Trail and Brookstone Way including the restoration of pavement, catch basins, and landscape due to the waterline work. Bids will be publicly opened and read by the City Engineer immediately after 10:00 A.M. on April 28, 2026. Each bid must contain the full name or names of the interested parties, and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bond in an amount equal to the full amount of the Bid, or a certified check or cashier's check on a solvent bank made payable to the order of the City of Strongsville, Ohio, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. The Bid Bond or Bid check, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the Bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into between the Bidder and the City of Strongsville, Ohio. The price of material and labor bid shall be separately stated. Copies of the specifications, instructions to Bidders, forms of proposals and other contract documents are on file at the Office of the City Engineer of the City of Strongsville, Ohio, and may be obtained for Fifty and 00/100 Dollars ($50.00) made payable to the City of Strongsville, which is non-refundable. Bidders must use the printed forms of proposal available as aforesaid, as none other will be accepted. A Bidder/Contractor will be deemed committed to the Department of Labor's goals and timetables for the Cleveland, Ohio area as specified in the Notice of Requirements for Affirmative Action to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (Executive Order 11246 by submitting a properly signed bid). Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex, age, gender, physical disability or national origin. The Council of the City of Strongsville, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and minor defects in the bids received, and to accept any bid which deems most favorable to the City.
