LEGAL NOTICESealed bids for the construction of the Elevated Water Tank Replacement will be received by the Mayor at Village Hall, 415 South County Rd, Washingtonville, Ohio 44490 until 1:00 P.M. Local Time, on March 27, 2026 at which time and place said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud, said project includes: ELEVATED WATER TANK REPLACEMENT Project Includes approximately:·100,000 Gallon Steel Elevated Water Tank·Two Pressure Reducing Chambers with Equipment·Miscellaneous Waterline Piping·Site Work·Demolition of Existing 100,000 Gallon Elevated Steel Tank Completion Date:420 Calendar Days after "Notice to Proceed" Detailed specifications and drawings can be seen and/or obtained at the office of the consultant, Howells and Baird, Inc., 1156 East State Street, Salem, Ohio 44460. The cost is Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) NON-REFUNDABLE. If request is made, plans will be mailed as soon as possible after receipt of request and payment for plans plus a $25.00 per set charge for postage and handling. Checks are to be made payable to Howells and Baird, Inc. All proposals shall be sealed and marked for the Elevated Water Tank Replacement and addressed to Ronald D. Stevens, Mayor and delivered or received prior to the opening date and time, at 415 South County Rd, Washingtonville, Ohio 44490 . The bidders may be required to give references and such other detailed information as will enable the owner to judge responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be awarded a contract. Bidders must comply with the Davis Bacon wage rates on Public Improvements in Columbiana County and the Village of Washingtonville, Ohio, as determined by the United States Department of Labor at 1-866-487-9243. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity.
