ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners until 1:30 P .M., Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at the Mahoning County Purchasing Department, 1 st Floor, 21 West Boardman Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44503 and opened and read in the Purchasing Department: MAHONING COUNTY CORONER BODY REMOVAL SERVICES A copy of the specifications along with proposed pages may be obtained at the Mahoning County Purchasing Department, Mahoning County Administration Building, 1st Floor, 21 W. Boardman Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44503. FAILURE TO OBTAIN PROPOSAL FROM THE MAHONING COUNTY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT MAY RESULT IN BID REJECTION/S DUE TO NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEE REQUIREMENTS AND OFFICIAL ADDENDUM NOTIFICATION/S. A certified check representing FIVE percent (5%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to the Mahoning County Treasurer, or a bid bond in the sum of FIVE percent (5%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each and every proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Board of County Commissioners, in the manner provided by law. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio MUST be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Attention of the Bidder is directed to the requirements that each proposal must be accompanied by a non‑collusion affidavit, properly executed by the Bidder. Further, the successful Bidder will be required to execute an affidavit required by Sec. 5719.042 of the Ohio Revised Code. No payment shall be made on any Contract for which no such affidavit has been submitted. The Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. In addition, the Board of Mahoning County Commissioners reserves the right to participate in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing has entered into for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 125.04. No bids may be withdrawn for at least sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin.
