IN THE MATTER OF: D.C. CASE NO. 23NAD0101 ALLEGED DEPENDENT CHILD LEGAL NOTICE DAWN COOK and EDWARD COOK, SR., parents of D.C., whose last known address is 415 Ed Warren Drive, Stout, Ohio 45684 and has been unable to be found, are hereby notified that on February 13, 2026, an AMENDED MOTION FOR PERMANENT CUSTODY was filed requesting that the permanent custody of said child be vested in Scioto County Children Services. DAWN COOK and EDWARD COOK, SR are further notified that a hearing on said motion will be held in the Scioto County Juvenile Court, 602 Seventh Street, Portsmouth, Ohio, 45662 on May 18, 2026, at 09:00 A.M., and that they are required to attend. ANY COURT ACTION CAN HAVE AN EFFECT ON PARENTAL RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES. ABSENT OBJECTIONS AND TESTIMONY FROM YOU, THE COURT MAY GRANT PERMANENT CUSTODY OF YOUR CHILD TO SCIOTO COUNTY CHILDREN SERVICES AFTER PRESENTATION OF TESTIMONY. THE GRANTING OF PERMANENT CUSTODY PERMANENTLY DIVESTS THE PARENTS OF THEIR PARENTAL RIGHTS. Any party is entitled to counsel in all proceedings in Juvenile Court.
