NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS Please take notice that on February 11, 2026, Cincinnati City Council passed Resolution No. 7-2026 declaring the necessity of, and an assessment for, the planting, care, maintenance, trimming, and removal of public trees in and along the streets and the public right-of-way within the City of Cincinnati's Urban Forestry Maintenance District for the year 2027. This assessment provides the City with funding necessary to conduct 24-7 emergency response for downed trees in the right of way, a six-year preventative maintenance cycle, routine stump grinding, replacement of all trees removed, and systematic planting to improve tree canopy in the highest areas of need throughout the city. The Resolution and the project plans, estimates of costs, assessment, and schedules are on file and available for inspection in the office of the Clerk of Council, Room 308, City Hall, 801 Plum Street, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45202, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Resolution 7-2026 may also be viewed online at: https://cincinnatioh.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx. The proposed assessment shall be levied by the front foot method at a rate of $0.31 per front foot of each real estate parcel. After being approved by City Council, the assessment for each property will be included in the December 2026 Hamilton County real estate tax bill. This bill will be sent to property owners by the Hamilton County Treasurer, and the assessment shall be paid to the Hamilton County Treasurer.
