ORDINANCE NO. 8722 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW TRUCK AND PLOW FOR SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the City has an aging fleet of trucks for snow removal and other operations with some vehicles over twenty years old; and, WHEREAS, Council desires to replace one of these vehicles with a new 2027 MV607 SBA with a front plow and other accessories from Selking International in Bryan, OH at the price of $246,296.96; and, WHEREAS, this vendor is a participant in the State Purchasing Program, thereby satisfying the competitive bidding requirements of §151.03 of the Codified Ordinances of Defiance, Ohio; and, WHEREAS, the City desires to finance the vehicle over a five-year term in order to moderate the budgetary impact of this purchase; Now therefore, be it enacted by the Council of the Municipality of Defiance, Ohio, that: Section 1: The City Administrator is directed to award a contract to Selking International for the purchase of a 202
