IN THE COURT OF COMMON PLEAS, MORROW COUNTY, OHIO JUVENILE DIVISION IN THE MATTER OF: CASE Nos:.2025AN 00045 Brooklynn B. (DOB 11/22/2023 JUDGE ROBERT C HICKSON, JR. Magistrate Kevin P. Collins Abused, Neglected And/or Dependent Child NOTICE BY PUBLICATION TO JOHN DOE, UNKNOWN FATHER OF ABOVE CHILD Upon motion of the Morrow County Job and Family Services (MCJFS) and for good cause shown, the Clerk of the Juvenile Court shall issue Notice by Publication for John Doe, unknown father in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code, Ohio Juvenile Rule 16 and Local Juvenile Rule 18. John Doe, unknown father, shall take notice that a Permanent Custody Hearing is currently set for Hearing April 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm, in the Morrow County Common Pleas Court, Juvenile Division, 48 East High Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio, 43338, regarding MCJFS' Complaint of Abuse, Neglect and/or Dependency. Father of the above captioned child is ordered to appear before said Court on said date. Father shall further take notice that the child is currently under a Temporary Order of Custody by Morrow County Job and Family Services. You are hereby notified: 1. You are ordered to appear at the stated time and place for the hearing. If you do not appear, you may lose valuable rights or be subject to court sanction for failure to appear. 2. You have a right to be represented by a lawyer at all stages of the proceedings or you may waive your right to a lawyer. If you wish to be represented by a lawyer but are unable to employ one, you have a right to have a lawyer provided for you. Therefore, if you wish to have a lawyer but believe you cannot afford one, please contact the Clerk of the Juvenile Court, who may be reached at the Juvenile Court telephone number (419) 947-5545, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. The address of the Juvenile Court is Morrow County Courthouse, Mt. Gilead, Ohio 43338. 3. You also have a right to offer evidence, to cross-examine witnesses and to have a record of proceedings made, at public expense if you are indigent. You may bring witnesses with you or the Court will subpoena witness for you. 4. In your contacts with the officers of this Court before the hearing and with the Judge during the hearing, you have the right to remain silent in regard to the facts in the complaint. If you desire to discuss the case with the officers of the Court or the Judge, anything you say may be used in the determination of the case. 5. If the Court grants permanent custody, you will LOSE FOREVER all parental rights and privileges of Brooklynn B. These privileges include but are not limited to 1.) the right to consent to an adoption and be notified of an adoption hearing 2.) the right to decide on the name of the child(ren) if an adoption is granted 3.) the right to know where the child(ren) are placed and will live 4.) the right to decide what religious training, if any, the child(ren) will receive 5.) the right to visit with or have any contact with the child(ren).
