MAINTREAM VOUCHER WAIT LIST OPENING VOUCHER WAITING LIST OPENING FOR MAINSTREAM CANDIDATES ONLY: Sandusky Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) will OPEN the Voucher Program waitlist list exclusively for Mainstream eligible applicants beginning Monday, March 9, 2026 @ 8:00 AM until Thursday, March 19, 2026, @ 4:00 PM. This paper application is being taken only for applicants that meet the following Mainstream Voucher criteria: A family member on the application must be between the ages of 18-61 and disabled, AND the applicant family must be either homeless (or at the risk of becoming homeless), be institutionalized (or at the risk of becoming institutionalized), or have previously experienced homelessness and currently in permanent support housing or rapid rehousing project. The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), and all other waiting lists remains closed to applicants other than those who meet these age/disability/housing status requirements. Apply at the SMHA Office at 1358 Mosser Drive, Fremont, Ohio, 43452. Hours of operation for application are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 8:00 AM-12:15 PM and 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. Documentation of age, disability, and housing status are required at the time the paper application is submitted.
