NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PY2026 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP) Ross County intends to apply for the PY 2026 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP which may include CDBG, HOME, and OHTF funds) competitive grant administered by Ohio Department of Development/Office of Community Enhancements (ODOD/OCE). Ross County shall coordinate with Chillicothe to form a partnership. The maximum award for the partnership will be $750,000.00. Ross County's budgeted amount is $400,000, City of Chillicothe's budgeted amount is $350,000. The first of two public hearings will be held for Ross County on: Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Ross County Commissioners Office 2 N. Paint Street, Suite H Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 This meeting will provide citizens with pertinent information about the above program, including an explanation of eligible activities, fair housing requirements, and related infrastructure improvements. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low-to-moderate income persons, or aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight, or meet an urgent community need. Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A second public hearing will be held on May 11, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. to solicit comments and public input about specific activities proposed for the PY 2026 CHIP projects.
