PUBLIC NOTICE Kimble Company, formerly Penn-Ohio Coal Company dba Kimble Clay & Limestone, 3596 State Route 39, Dover, Ohio, 44622, has submitted renewal applications DR-2271-3 and DR-2271-4, for surface coal mining and reclamation permit D-2271, to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mineral Resources Management. The surface application is located in Tuscarawas County, York Township, Sections 16, 17, 25, T-8-N, R-2-W, on the property owned by Penn-Ohio Coal Company. The permit contains 61.4 surface acres and is located on the New Philadelphia 7 ½ Minute U.S.G.S. Quadrangle Map, approximately 1.5 miles southwest of New Philadelphia, Ohio. A road permit has been obtained to conduct mining operations within 100 feet of the outside right-of-way line and through Joyce Hill Road (County Road 55) and to place piping (slurry pipe) and return water pipe under the road to support Kimble Company's (formerly Central Fuel Company) coal processing facilities. The road permit is valid from 6/5/06 to until coal mining and reclamation operations are completed under the coal mining permit issued pursuant to this permit. The applications are on file at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mineral Resources Management District Office, located at 2207 Reiser Avenue SE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 for public viewing. Written comments or requests for an informal conference may be sent to the Division of Mineral Resources Management, 2045 Morse Road, Building H-2, Columbus, OH 43229 within thirty (30) days of the last date of publication of this notice.
