AMERICAN TOWNSHIP PUBLIC NOTICE The American Township Board of Zoning Appeals will convene several public hearings on TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2026 at 4:00PM, at American Township Administration Building, 102 Pioneer Road, Elida, Ohio. Hearings involve Applications for Variances to the Zoning Resolution, based on applications for construction that were denied, based on violation of the Zoning Resolution. Cases concern 715 Stevick Road, construction of single family dwelling on corner lot. Applicant seeks waiver of 90 foot set back from center of roadway. Case concerns 5280 Poling Road, Construction of Accessory Building, Increase in building wall height to allow for vehicle maintenanceis requested. Last case is 405 Sunnydale Street, Construction of 54 Solar Panels facing the roadway, which is prohibited. Panels allowed on side and rear of residential structures. In addition, 405 Sunnydale Street, has already installed the panels on rooftop without zoning approval. Applicant seeks post-installation approval.
