Notice of Election of a Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation Notice is hereby given that pursuant to resolution of the Board of Trustees of Huron Township, Erie County, Ohio, adopted on the 5 th day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of Huron Township at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5 th day of May 2026, the question of levying a tax in excess of the ten mill limitation, said tax being a new tax for the benefit of Huron Township for the purpose of providing fire protection and EMS, that the county auditor estimates will collect $436,229 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.The polls for said election will be open at 6:30 o'clock a.m. and will remain open until 7:30 o'clock p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) of said day.
