NOTICE OF TIME OF VIEW AND FIRST HEARING TO THE OWNERS OF LAND AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT

In the Matter of the Chase Tile Ditch #514
To the Owners of Land Affected by the Proposed Improvement:
You are hereby notified, that on December 11, 2025, the above named petitioner, Larry Taylor, filed a petition for improvement of drainage by cleaning and removing obstructions from, constructing, reconstructing, deepening, grading, widening, altering and or straightening an existing drain and or watercourse known as the Chase Ditch #514, located in Montgomery Township, to a good and sufficient outlet as per the location description on file with the clerk of the board. The substance and prayer of said petition is that the construction of the improvement is necessary, that it will benefit the petitioner, and that it will be conducive to the public welfare, and prays for the making of such improvement on the following course and termini, to wit:
Situated in the State of Ohio, County of Marion and Montgomery Township: Commencing at a point on the west side of County Road 29 in the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 27 of Montgomery Township, said point being approximately 850' south of the intersection of the CSX railroad and Marion County Road 29 (Decliff Road), said point also being the approximate location of the beginning of the 20” tile portion of the existing Chase Ditch according to plat recorded in Ditch Book 6, page 101 of the Marion County Ditch Records maintained in the Marion County Engineer's Office, thence south along the existing alignment of the tile and open ditch as shown on said plat to its terminus at the Scioto River, or a sufficient outlet.
ALL COSTS OF ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION AND FUTURE MAINTENANCE WILL BE ASSESSED TO THE BENEFITING PARCELS OF LAND.
You are hereby notified that the Board of Marion County Commissioners, Marion County, Ohio:
-has fixed March 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., in the Commissioners' Chambers at the Marion County Building, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302, as the date, time and place for the view of the petitioned ditch; and
-has fixed May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Commissioners' Chambers at the Marion County Building, 222 West Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302, as the date, time and place for the first hearing on the petition.
