NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that a public hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 20, 2026, at 6:15 P.M. in Council Chambers located at One James Duncan Plaza, Massillon, Ohio, regarding Ordinance No. 24 – 2026 and Ordinance No. 25 – 2026. Ordinance No. 24 – 2026 is amending the Zoning Map of the City of Massillon, Ohio, by rezoning a certain property from R-1 One Family Residential District to RM-1 Multiple Family Residential District. The property to be rezoned is known as Parcel #610674, Lot #2923 and Part Lot #2924, a 0.35-acre parcel located at the north side of South Ave. S.E., between 3rd St. S.E. and 8th St. S.E., Massillon, Ohio. The purpose for the rezoning is to allow for duplex use. Ordinance No. 25 – 2026 is amending the Zoning Map of the City of Massillon, Ohio, by rezoning a certain property from R-2 One Family Residential District to R-1 One Family Residential District. The property to be rezoned is known as Parcel #504839, Out Lot #915 and Parcel #10005027, Part Out Lot #1137. The total area is 22.33 acres located at the north side of Lincoln Way W., east of Lanedale and Evangel Ave. N.W., Massillon, Ohio. The property is currently vacant and was part of the original Friendship Acres development in 1999.
