Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 Olmsted Township ___________________________ Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Township of Olmsted of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, passed on the 15th day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2026 the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, which shall be an additional tax for the benefit of the Township of Olmsted for the purpose of payment of safety services including providing and maintaining fire apparatus, or other fire equipment and appliances, buildings and sites therefor, permanent, or part-time firefighting, emergency medical service, administrative, or communications personnel to operate the same, and for the provision of ambulance, paramedic or other emergency medical services operated by a fire department, or for the payment of other related costs, and for providing and maintaining motor vehicles, communications, other equipment, buildings, and sites for such buildings used directly in the operation of a police department, for the payment of salaries of permanent or part-time police, communications, or administrative personnel to operate the same, or for payment of other related costs at a rate not exceeding 4 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $140 for each $100,000 of the County Fiscal Officer's market value, for a continuing period of time. The estimated annual collections of this levy is $1,982,249. The polls for the election will open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on election day.
