NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION PALMYRA TOWNSHIP Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolutions passed on January 13, 2026 and January 27, 2026 the Trustees of Palmyra Township, Portage County, Ohio, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of Palmyra Township at a Primary Election to be held in said Township at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the question of a renewal tax levy for fire and emergency medical services. Tax being a renewal of a 2 mills tax levy that the county auditor estimates will collect $117,649 annually, at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $36 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
