Form No. 124 Prescribed by the Secretary of State (01/2026) Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation R.C. 3501.11(G), 5705.19, 5705.25 Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Commissioners of Lorain County of Elyria, Ohio, passed on the 19th day of December, 2025, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary/Special Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation, which shall be an additional tax for the benefit of Lorain County for the purpose of providing facilities, programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities by Murray Ridge Center by operating and/or funding and administering Murray Ridge School, Early Intervention, vocational training/adult day centers, community based employment, service and support administration, and residential supports and facilities, and making capital improvements on the buildings of Murray Ridge Center at a rate not exceeding 0.85 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $30 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years. The estimated annual collections of this levy is $10,054,246. The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
