NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION PORTAGE COUNTY Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Resolutions passed on November 20, 2025 and December 11, 2025 by the Portage County Commissioners, Portage County, Ohio, there will be submitted to a vote of the electors of Portage County at a Primary Election to be held in said County at the regular places of voting therein, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the question of an additional tax levy for public assistance, human or social services, including children and adult services and relief. Tax being an additional tax of a 0.4 mill tax levy that the county auditor estimates will collect $2,451,896 annually, at a rate not exceeding 0.4 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $14 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
