NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the East Cocalico Township Board of Supervisors at its meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, at the East Cocalico Township Municipal Building, 100 Hill Road, Denver, PA 17517, shall consider the adoption of an ordinance confirming the Pension Plan applicable to uniformed employees. At the conclusion of the hearing, or at a subsequent public meeting held within 60 days after the publication of this advertisement, the Board shall consider enactment of the ordinance, the caption of which is as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP AFFIRMING THE PENSION PLAN APPLICABLE TO THE UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES OF EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP AND PROVIDING THAT WHERE ANY CONFLICT AMONG ORDINANCES, PLAN DOCUMENTS AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT EXISTS, THE PROVISIONS OF ACT 600 SHALL APPLY. A summary of the ordinance is as follows: The Ordinance confirms that, the provisions of Act 600 prevail in any conflicts among ordinances, plan documents and collective bargaining agreements, that any such conflicting ordinances or collective bargaining agreement are null and void, and that any reductions in contributions below the minimum 5% are void. A copy of the proposed Ordinance may be examined without charge at the offices of this newspaper and at the East Cocalico Township Municipal Building, 100 Hill Road, Denver, PA, 17517, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A copy of the proposed Ordinance may be obtained for the cost of reproduction at the above municipal offices during the above hours by appointment.
