Met-Ed has contracted for the ground application of herbicide solutions on electric line rights-of-way in parts of York and Adams Counties. Both the herbicide solution and the application method are specified by Met-Ed. The herbicides are registered and approved for this use by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. The application will be performed on electric line rights-of-way during the period commencing 14 days from the date of publication of this notice and extending to 45 days from the date of publication. Prior to the application, an attempt will be made to contact property owners residing on the property scheduled for treatment of wood vegetation.
