ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Chester County School Authority/Chester County Intermediate Unit will receive sealed proposals for the following project: Welding Shop Renovations TCHS Pickering Campus Proposals must be received by 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Thursday, February 26, 2026 in the Conference Center of the Chester County Intermediate Unit, 455 Boot Road, Downingtown, Pennsylvania 19335. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same time. The Work shall be performed under the following contracts. Mechanical Construction Electrical Construction A Non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 starting at 2:30 p.m. prevailing time at the Technical College High School – Pickering Campus, 1580 Charlestown Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460. All attendees will be required to enter at the main entrance and follow school procedure by presenting their identification and signing the visitor log. At the pre-bid meeting, attendees will then be required to sign in to verify attendance. Meeting minutes will be prepared and sent to all attendees and registered plans holders. Electronic bid documents, drawings and specifications, will be available via downloadable link. The contractor shall provide a non-refundable payment of fifty dollars ($50), either by cash or check, payable to Consolidated Engineers (no credit cards), along with the email address for the Bidder's contact person. Upon receipt of payment, the Bidder will be registered and an email will be sent to the bidder's contact person with instructions for accessing the bidding documents, including official bid form(s). Prospective bidders are advised that the work to be performed is subject to and governed by the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act including all amendments and supplements. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate and on forms included in the bid documents. Proposals submitted on forms other than those provided may be rejected. Proposals are to be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope, addressed to the Owner, identified with the Project name. Proposals are to include the following: 1. A certified check, bank cashier's check, or a bid bond on the forms included in the contract documents, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the base bid as indicated in paragraph 4.4.1, Instructions to Bidders. 2. A Contractor's Qualifications Statement and a Non-collusion Affidavit as indicated in paragraph 4.3.3, Instructions to Bidders. Successful bidders will be required to furnish a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. The cost of the Bonds shall be included in the bid amount. All Bids will be effective for a period of 60 days. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any irregularities or technicalities in any bid, and to make awards in the best interest of the School District.
