Hearing for variance to construct a pool and accessory building in East Marlborough.

NOTICE

THE EAST MARLBOROUGH TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD will meet on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, at the East Marlborough Township Building, 721 Unionville Road, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, to hear the following:

THE APPLICATION OF LAURIE AND SCOTT MCGRAW. The parcel is UPI No. 61-6-2.1, also known as 721 Northbrook Road. The parcel is owned by the Applicants, and is currently improved with a single-family detached dwelling and driveway. The parcel is approximately 3.5 acres in area, and is located in the R-B – Residential District of the Township. The Applicants seek a variance from §450-503.C (Area and bulk regulations) of the East Marlborough Township Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a swimming pool, patio, and pool house pavilion which will increase the lot coverage on the property from the existing 9.0% to 11.4% where 10% is the maximum permitted lot coverage. The Applicants also seek a variance from §450-503.G (Area and bulk regulations) to permit the construction of an accessory building within the front yard of the property where it is otherwise not permitted; and any other relief that may be necessary.  

The Board may consider other such matters as may properly come before it.
