Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Edgmont Township will accept bids for the following general work:

All work is on the Cisler Tract, now Township owned situated on the north side of Middletown Road; at the intersection of Middletown and Gradyville Roads, comprising a work area of  6.6 acres having an address of 1031 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square, PA. This work includes the following as more fully described in the Bid Form:

 (1) Bamboo removal and containment of approx. 0.95 acres, including the planting of 95 replacement forestry “Whips”;  with the option of also including, (2) the removal of 69 Norway Maple Trees, and/or (3) the removal of 17 Hazard trees. 

All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to Edgmont Township in the amount of 10% of the total bid proposal.

A non-refundable fee of $50.00 is required for each hard copy bid document package, payable to “Edgmont Township.”  

Sealed Bids are due by 2:00 P.M. on March 4, 2026. At 2:30 P.M. on March 4, 2026, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Township Building, by the Township Bid-Opening Committee. 

No bids will be accepted after this date and time. Anticipated contract award is March 10, 2026, at the monthly Edgmont Township Board of Supervisors meeting.

Sealed bids are to be addressed to Edgmont Township and delivered to 1000 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073.

Hand-delivered sealed bids must be given to a Township Employee and delivered during normal business hours of 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday to Friday, except Holidays. 

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on February 26, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., at the Edgmont Township Municipal Building, 1000 Gradyville Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073.   

Prevailing wage rates apply. PA. Act 127 (Public Works Employment Verification Act) requirements are applicable. 

The selected bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Maintenance Bond, and Insurance Certifications, including Worker's Compensation Insurance.

Edgmont Twp reserves the right to reject any and all bids, parts thereof, and/or any or  all bid alternates and, in general, to make awards in any manner deemed to be in the project's best interest.
