TRAINER BOROUGH MILLING AND RESURFACING AND INSTALLATION OF CURB CUT RAMPS SEALED BIDS will be received by the Borough of Trainer at the Trainer Municipal Center, 4300 Township Line Road, Trainer, PA 19061 until 9:00AM (prevailing time) on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The scope of work includes but is not limited to 1 ½” milling and resurfacing with SuperPave Wearing Course, Asphalt Mixture Design, PG 64S-22, 0.0 to 0.3M ESALs, 9.5MM mix, 1-½” depth, SRL H, on Price St, 13th St to Township Line Rd. (Option) (2,600SY); Sunset St., 13th St. to Township Line Rd. (2800SY); Langley St., 9th St to 12th St. (3200SY); Price St., 9th St to 10th St. (1600SY); Base repair has been specified at the various roadways for a total of 325SY max. Provisions for the use of scratch coat is included and is able to be used with approval of the Borough Engineer. Installation of (3) curb cut ramps on Langley Ave. is included as an option item. The Bidder's attention is called to the fact that this project is assisted with federal funds, and various federal requirements apply as noted in the bid documents, including but not limited to equal opportunity provisions, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, Build America Buy America Act and Section 3 Final rule threshold requirements for contracts over $200,000 in HUD funds. Proposal forms and specifications are obtainable from the Trainer Borough Office, weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. A non-refundable charge of $30.00 is required for each copy of the bid specs. Bids must be purchased from the Borough in order for a bid to be considered. The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any bid and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder(s) whose services are judged to best meet the interests of the Borough. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities during evaluation of the bids. A certified check or bid bond shall be included with the bid for 10% of the bid total. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price with a corporate surety authorized to issued bonds in Pennsylvania.
