ADVERTISEMENTSealed proposals will be received by the Borough Of Cheswick of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, through the Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN) at www.questcdn.com until 11:00 AM prevailing time on March 12, 2026, for:CONTRACT NO. 26-W1PARKWAY DRIVE WATERLINE REPLACEMENT AND PAVINGThe scope of work includes:- Contract A consists of the installation of approximately 1,550 lineal feet of 6" C900 PVC DR14 waterline and appurtenances including valves, fire hydrant installation, water service line re-connections, and all temporary and permanent surface restoration including lawn, concrete sidewalk, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction.- Contract Bconsists of roadway surface restoration and paving. The work includes milling of 5,000 square yards of existing pavement, placement of 200 tons of 3/4" scratch, paving of 5,000 square yards of 9.5MM wearing course (1.5" depth), base repair, and all necessary traffic control and driveway access, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction.All bidders are required to buy the Bid Documents in PDF format for a non-refundable deposit of $175.00 from QuestCDN using project number 10040979. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Borough. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Cheswick to guarantee the bidders entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances.The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply.The Borough shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Borough may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Borough has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies.Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.BOROUGH OF CHESWICKJaime Varshine, Borough Secretary402272 (2/17, 21/26)
