PUBLIC NOTICE As required by Act 101, the Pennsylvania Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Law adopted July 28, 1988, North Londonderry Township announces an Act 101 Section 902 application to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for funding of an expansion of the North Londonderry Township Compost Facility. Total cost of the expansion project is $448,613.63. The North Londonderry Township Compost Facility accepts green waste from residents within the township, as well as leaves from Palmyra Borough, and in turn processes the material into wood chips, wood mulch and plant bedding, offering the end product to the general public for $12 per loader bucket. Any comments regarding the expansion project may be submitted in writing within 15 days of publication of this notice to: North Londonderry Township, 655 E. Ridge Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.
