STATE OF INDIANA COUNTY OF VANDERBURGH SS: IN THE VANDERBURGH SUPERIOR COURT IN RE THE ADOPTION OF FAELYNN M. BRENT, A minor female, by KARLEE A. EICKHOFF, Petitioner. CAUSE NO. 82D04-2601-AD-000019 NOTICE OF ADOPTION TO: NATHAN E. BRENT Nathan E. Brent is notified that a Petition for Step-Parent Adoption of a child named Faelynn M. Brent, born to Bobbi Joe M. Dhillon on July 4, 2015, was filed in the office of the Clerk of the Vanderburgh Superior Court, 1 N.W. Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard, Evansville, Indiana 47708. The Petition for Step-Parent Adoption alleges that the consent of Nathan E. Brent to the adoption of Faelynn M. Brent is not required pursuant to I.C. 31-19-9-8. If Nathan E. Brent seeks to contest the adoption of the child, Nathan E. Brent must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with I.C. 31-19-10-1 in the above-named Court no later than fifteen (15) days after the date of service of this notice. If Nathan E. Brent does not file a motion to contest the adoption within fifteen (15) days after service of this notice, the above-named Court will hear and determine the Petition for Step-Parent Adoption. The consent of Nathan E. Brent to the adoption of Faelynn M. Brent will be irrevocably implied, and Nathan E. Brent will lose the right to contest either the adoption or the validity of Nathan E. Brent's implied consent to the adoption. No oral statement made to Nathan E. Brent relieves Nathan E. Brent of Nathan E. Brent's obligations under this notice. This notice complies with I.C. 31-19-4.5-3 but does not exhaustively set forth a person's legal obligations under the Indiana adoption statutes.
