NOTICE OF INTENT TO OPERATE MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE LANDFILL TCEQ PERMIT NO. MSW 1503 INACTIVE STATUS. The Waste Management of Texas, Inc., Pecan Prairie Recycling and Disposal Facility, a municipal solid waste landfill, is authorized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to retain its Permit No. MSW 1503 as an inactive facility. The facility is located at Farm Road 1038 approximately one mile northeast of the intersection of Farm Road 1039 and Highway 69 North, Kingston, Texas 75423, in Hunt County, Texas. The facility was originally permitted in 1984. The design of the facility components were updated to the Subtitle D requirements in 1994 and 2003. The facility is a Type I municipal solid waste landfill that is authorized to dispose of municipal solid waste under the provisions of Title 30 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 330 - Municipal Solid Waste Regulations. Waste Management of Texas, Inc., Pecan Prairie Recycling and Disposal Facility is an inactive permitted Municipal Solid Waste Facility and may operate in the future as it is permitted by the TCEQ. Waste Management of Texas, Inc. has posted signs around the facility's permit boundary indicating the inactive status of the facility. Notice will be published on an annual basis during the period the facility stays inactive. Should Waste Management of Texas, Inc. decide to reopen the facility in the future, a notice will be published to inform the public of the exact date of the reopening of the facility. MAILING LIST. You may ask to be placed on a mailing list to receive future public notices mailed by the Office of the Chief Clerk. You may request to be added to: (1) the mailing list for specific applications for this facility; (2) the permanent mailing list for a specific applicant name and permit number; and/or (3) the mailing list for a specific county.
