PUBLIC NOTICENotice of General Election PrimaryReferences: Sections 4.003, 4.004, 83.010, 85.004, 85.007, and 172.1112 Texas Election Code.Purpose: To provide public notice of election.Comments: The Republican and Democratic Party Primary will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 in San Saba County. Polling locations open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. All voters in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote.Republican Party Polling Locations:Precincts 1, 2B, 3B: First Baptist Church, 208 W. Wallace St., San Saba Precinct 2A: Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Dept, 301 N. Carter St., Richland SpringsPrecinct 3A: Church of Christ, 308 N. Indian Ave., CherokeePrecinct 4: San Saba County Courthouse Lower Level Southside 500 E. Wallace St., San SabaDemocratic Party Polling Locations: ALL Precincts: First Baptist Church, 208 W. Voters who violate this state law will not be allowed to vote until the clothing is removed or hidden. 2. There is no politicking allowed within 100 feet of the entrance to the polling location. This includes people talking to voters to support a candidate, a cause (such as Pro-Life, etc.), an initiative, a proposition, etc. No election materials, push cards, flyers, etc. can be handed out in this 100 foot zone. No political signs can be posted in this area. Violators of this state law can be charged with a misdemeanor.3. There is no cell phone, video or audio recording device used in the polling area by voters. All cell phones should be turned off or silenced and remain unseen in a pocket, etc.4. Voters may bring a "sample ballot", filled out or not, into the voting booth but must remove that paper with them when they leave and can not share that item with any other voters while in the booth, including your spouse.
