4/30 & 5/07/26NOTICE TO THE PUBLICThe Middleburg Town Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the TownHall Council Chambers located at 10 W. Marshall Street, Middleburg, VA, to consider the following:AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE SCHEDULE OF WATER AND SEWER CHARGESIf approved, the ordinance would implement a new water and sewer user fee system that would result in lowerrates for some customers and higher rates for any usage over a certain amount, as detailed in the chart below.As an example, the proposed fees would result in a decrease of 20.8%, or $60.51, in the average bi-monthlycombined water and sewer bill for in-Town customers with bi-monthly use of 7,000 gallons. Theproposed new system would result in an increase overall of water and sewer user fee revenues by an averageof 3%, effective July 1, 2026. For new connections to the system, this ordinance would raise theavailability fees
