Pursuant to Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, the Plan- ning Commission and the Town Council of the Town of The Plains hereby Give notice that a Joint Public Hearing will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 At 6:45 P.M. at the Town Hall, 6451 Main Street, The Plains, Virginia to consider the following: Proposed amend- ments to Article 13 (Historic Overlay District-H-OD) of the Town of The Plains Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the proposed amendments is to clarify application requirements and review procedures for Certificates of Appropriateness, including but not Limited to: Requiring that applications be associated with a recorded lot or parcel; Clarifying that ap- plications must be submitted by the owner of record or an Authorized agent; Requiring identification of the status of the use (permitted, nonconforming, Pending approval, or not permitted); Confirming that approval by the Architectur- al Review Board is limited to Architectural design onl
