INVITATION TO BID PROJECT: Selkirk School District TK-12 Addition and Modernization 10372 WA-31 Ione, WA 99139 1. Sealed bids, addressed to Ken Murphy, ALSC Architects, P.S., will be received from qualified Contractors for the above project at ALSC Architects, 203 North Washington, Suite 400, Spokane, WA 99201. Base Bids shall be delivered by mail or by hand on or before 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026. Alternate Bids shall be delivered by mail in hand on or before 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026. All bids will be opened at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2026. 2. Bid proposals shall be submitted in accordance with Bidding Requirements and Contract Documents for the above referenced project as prepared by ALSC Architects, P.S., 203 N. Washington, Suite 400, Spokane, WA 99201, dated April 17, 2026. 3. Project documents will be available after Monday, April 20, 2026 at www.ALSCArchitectsPlanroom.com. Digital documents may be downloaded at no cost. Printed documents are available by choosing the “Order” option. General Contractors, bidding as a Prime, may obtain two (2) sets of refundable documents, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors may obtain one (1) set of refundable documents upon receipt of a deposit check, in the amount of $350, made payable to ALSC Architects, P.S. and mailed to Abadan Reprographics, 603 E 2nd Avenue, Spokane WA 99201, (509) 747-2964. The deposit will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder on receipt of plans and specifications for a period of ten (10) days after opening of bids, provided the documents are complete and in clean and usable condition. Bidders are required to register as a plan holder at www.ALSCArchitectsPlanroom.com. A list of Plan Centers where the documents may be examined is posted on this plan room. 4. A Pre-Bid Conference and site tour will be held at Selkirk High School, 10372 WA-31, Ione, WA Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Attendance at the conference is highly encouraged. 5. The project includes an approximate 13,500 s.f. addition, partial modernization of existing school and associated site work. 6. Bid Proposals shall be on forms furnished by the Architect. Bid security by a qualified surety in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount shall be submitted with the understanding that if bid is accepted, Bidder will enter into a formal contract with Selkirk School District in accordance with the form of agreement and that the required Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be provided. 7. The right to reject any or all bid proposals, either in whole or in part, or to waive any informalities or irregularities therein is reserved by Selkirk School District. 8. Bids on Public Works. Every invitation to bid on a contract that is expected to cost in excess of one hundred thousand dollars for the construction, alteration or repair of any public building or public work of the state or a state agency or municipality as defined under RCW 39.04.010 an institution of higher education as defined under RCW 28B.10.016, or a school district shall require each bidder to submit as part of the bid, the names of heating, ventilation and air conditioning and plumbing subcontractors as described in Chapter 18.106 TCW, and electrical as described in Chapter 19.28 RCW with whom the bidder, if awarded the contract, will subcontract for performance of the work designated on the list to be submitted with the bid. Failure to name such subcontractors shall render the bidder's bid nonresponsive and, therefore, void. 9. Mandatory 15% apprentice labor hours of the total hours are a requirement of the construction contract.
