Description of Work:                
Work may be generally described as:
1. Replace existing Vocational Building 
with a new building.
Work includes but is not limited to:
1. Securing permits.
2. Pedestrian and vehicular 
    control and safety and security 
    measures.
3. Salvage, abatement, demolition, 
    and cutting and patching.
4. Construction of a 6,500 SF building 
    including installation of Owner provided 
    metal building system.
5. Site work and off-site work, including 
    on-site and off-site utilities.
6. Closeout requirements, including record 
    drawings and Washington State Energy 
    Code submittals.
Pre-Bid Conference:                 
A pre-bid conference will be held on April 3, 2026, 
at 2:00 PM at the project site.  All companies 
intending to bid as a prime contractor, as well 
as major sub-contractors, are encouraged to 
have an employee of the company attend and 
identify themselves and the company on the 
sign-in sheet.
Bid Due:                                   
Sealed Bids for Bid Form – Part 1 will be received up  to 2:00 PM April 15, 2026, at the District Office, South Bend Public Schools, located at 304 S Adams Street, South Bend, WA 98586. Bids received after the date and time stated above will not receive consideration.
Bid Form – Part 2 will be received up to 2:00 PM April 17, 2026, at the District Office, South Bend Public Schools, located at 304 S Adams Street, South Bend, WA  98586.  Bids received after the date and time stated above will not receive consideration.
Bid Opening:                            
Bid Form – Part 1 Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the date and time indicated above for the receipt.                                 
Bid Form – Part 2 Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the date and time indicated above for the receipt.  
Subcontractor Listings:           
Subcontractor listings are required.
Apprenticeship:  Apprenticeship participation in accordance with RCW 39.04.320 is required.
Prevailing Wage: Prevailing Wages are required. It is the responsibility of the bidder to go online to the L&I web page https://www.lni.wa.gov/licensing-permits/public-works-projects/prevailing-wage-rates/ to verify they have the most current prevailing wages at time of bid.
Bid Bond:                                 
Accompany each Bid with a certified check, cashier's check, or surety company bid bond 
in an amount not less than 5 percent of the Base Bid.  Make payable to South Bend Public 
Schools.
Bid Documents: Bid Documents for the project may, be obtained, on or about March 24, 2026, from ARC Document Solutions 632 Broadway Tacoma, WA 98402. Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained via download from ARC's Public Planroom.

Right to Reject:  The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interests of the Owner.
Withdraw of Bid: Bidders may not withdraw bids after time set for the Bid Opening, 
unless Award of Contract is delayed for a period of exceeding 45 days.
