The King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP) is proposing modest increases in 2026 for rental rates to help cover the increased costs for operating Brightwater Center located in Woodinville. DNRP is required to cover all operation expenses associated with the rental program through rental fees and has not increased rates since 2019. This advertisement serves as notification consistent with King County Ordinance No. 17586 and King County Code Section 7.08.060.H.1 and H.2. To help cover increased costs, the Department is proposing to increase all rental fees by 15 percent. The fees will be set following consideration of public comment. Comments should be submitted no later than April 26, 2026 to: BCRentals.WTD@kingcount y.gov or by mail to Brightwater Center Feedback, 22505 State Route 9 SE, Woodinville, WA 98072. The new fees are scheduled to take effect on May 15, 2026. Renters who have already booked an event in 2026 will be charged at the rates that were established when they made their booking and will not be increased; bookings made after May 15, 2026, will incur the increased 15 percent in fees.
