PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATE PUBLIC WATERS TAKE NOTICE: That Oregon Water Resources Department of Pendleton, Oregon on February 24, 2026, under Water Right Application No. S3-31044, filed for a permit to appropriate public surface water, subject to existing rights, from the Walla Walla River in the amount of 12.5 cubic feet per second (cfs), 3545.51 acre-feet per year (ac-ft/yr) from May 1 to July 31 and September 1 to October 21. From August 1 to August 31, in the amount of 4.0 cubic feet per second, 245.95 acre-feet per year, for temporary instream flow purposes (A portion of Oregon Water Right No. 98277 will be temporarily changed to instream flow within the State of Washington referencing the water right number above (S3-31044)). The source of the proposed appropriation is located within the SW¼NE¼ of Section 12, T. 5 N., R. 35 E.W.M., within Walla Walla County. The proposed trust reach begins where the Walla Walla River crosses the Stateline within the W½ of Section 13, T. 6 N., R. 35 E.W.M., downstream to the mouth of the Walla Walla River, all within Walla Walla County, WA.
