NOTICE OF APPLICATION: ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT (ADU) Notice of Application Date: April 6, 2026 The City of Black Diamond has received the following applications that may be of interest to you. The applications and any related documents are available for public review by contacting the City's project manager. Application Date: February 25, 2026 Complete Application Date: March 23, 2026 Owner: Andy and Christine Johansen Applicant: Andy and Christine Johansen Project Name: Johansen ADU Application Number: PLN26-0021 (Accessory Dwelling Unit) Zoning: R4 Location: 21825 SE 289th St; tax parcel number 615180-0180. Project Description: The applicant is proposing a detached ADU consisting of 649 SF of living space, a 538 SF garage, 200 SF carport and 88 SF deck. Project Documents: Application, Site Plan, Plans, and Structural Calculations. Requested Approval: Accessory Dwelling Unit Permit Applicable Development Regulations: Applications for ADUs are required to be processed as a Type 2 land use review, which entails an administrative decision, pursuant to Black Diamond Municipal Code (BDMC) Chapter 18.08.
