Child Development Screening The Enumclaw School District provides free Child Development Screenings throughout the school year for children ages birth -five who are not enrolled in public school and may have special needs. Screening results are shared with parents and, if necessary, further testing is recommended. The purpose of the screening is to identify issues that could affect a childs success in school. The Enumclaw School District defines special needs as having concerns with any of the following: hearing, vision, speech, language, health, learning, behavior, birth defects, developmental delays, orthopedic impairment, intellectual disability, autism or other disabilities. If your family is living in a temporary situation, you may contact the district where you are staying to attend a screening.
