Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students The University of Puget Sound welcomes and supports diversity, and is committed to recruiting and retaining an increasingly diverse student body prepared to meet the highest tests of democratic citizenship in a pluralistic world. Such an education seeks to liberate each person's fullest intellectual and human potential to assist in the unfolding of creative and useful lives. University of Puget Sound does not discriminate in education or employment of students on the basis of sex, race, creed, color, national and ethnic origin, religion, age, disability, marital or familial status, sexual orientation, veteran status, gender identity, or any other basis prohibited by local, state, or federal law. Students are entitled to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the university and in its administration of educational and admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. This policy complies with the spirit and the letter of applicable federal and local laws, including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
