Notice of Public Hearing City of Longview 2026 Community Development Block Grant Program and 2026 Home Investment Partnerships Grant Program NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City of Longview City Council, in Longview City Hall, 1525 Broadway Street, Longview, Washington, at its regular meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. May 14, 2026, to hear public comments in consideration of projects for 2026 funding under the HOME/CDBG programs within the Longview City limits. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to present project design proposals for competitive funding of eligible HOME/CDBG projects and to hear public comment, particularly from eligible persons or groups regarding allocation of funding. The HOME-CDBG Program is funded by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Longview-Kelso HOME Consortium. 2026 Longview HOME/CDBG funds can be used for eligible activities: Homeowner rehabilitation, homeownership, rental housing improvement and development, tenant-based rental assistance for special needs categories, community facilities, economic development, housing, public facilities, and public services. In 2026 the Longview HOME funding estimate is $158,776. For Community Development Block Program (CDBG) there is $162,500 in funding. Anyone interested may appear in person and comment. Virtual attendees may comment by registering prior to the hearing date with the City Clerk's Office.
