Malaga Water System Phase 2 - Wallace Rd Water Main and ReservoirsChelan Douglas Regional Port Authority, located at 285 Technology Center Way STE 202 Wenatchee, WA 98801, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology's Construction Stormwater NPDES and State Waste Discharge General Permit.The proposed project, Malaga Water System Improvements Phase 2 – Wallace Road Water Main and Reservoirs, is located within easements along 3151 Wallace Road (Parcel 222132700055), Parcel 22132700060, Parcel 222132700050, Parcel 222132700040, and Parcel 222133700080, within the Wallace Road Public Right of Way, the Joe Miller Road Public Right of Way and Malaga Water District owned Parcel 222132700080 in Malaga in Chelan County. This project involves 2.75 acres of soil disturbance in preparation for the installation of water storage reservoirs, transmission water mains, and an access road. The receiving waterbody is Meadow Lake which is operated as an irrigation storage facility operated by Galler Ditch Company. Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this Application, or interested in Ecology's action on this Application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice. Ecology reviews public comments and considers whether discharges from this project would cause a measurable change in receiving water quality, and, if so, whether the project is necessary and in the overriding public interest according to Tier II anti-degradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320.
