Notice of Public Hearing: May 13, 2026. Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit and SEPA Checklist were received by Grant County on January 26, 2026, from TWBJ LLC, 22176 Road T.7 SW, Mattawa, WA 99349 (Designated Contact: Jef Gallacci, 22889 Road P.8 SW, Mattawa, WA 99349). SEPA: Grant County expects to issue Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) for this proposal process in WAC 197-11- 355. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: The applicant proposes to remove the existing rock pile along the west boundary of the property and conduct on-site crushing of rocks and boulders to produce gravel. The finished material will be stored within a permitted area for sale. The crushing operation is anticipated to occur over a period of approximately two and a half weeks, during regular business days between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. No excavation is proposed as part of this application. STUDIES REQUIRED: Habitat Assessment. LOCATION: The site address of the proposal is 25242 S Highway 243, Mattawa, WA. The subject parcel is a portion of the northeast quarter of Section 10, Township 14 N and Range 23 E., W.M., Grant County, WA. Parcel # 19-1587- 000. ZONING: Agriculture.
