PIERCE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND PUBLIC WORKS PUBLIC NOTICE OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE DISCHARGE PERMIT APPLICATION PERMIT NO. PC041326 City of University Place Public Works Maintenance Facility 4951 Grandview Drive West University Place, Washington 98467 has applied for a permit renewal to allow for discharge of process wastewater into the Pierce County sewer system. The process wastewater results from the collection and treatment of stormwater catch basins within the county from the above address. The process wastewater will receive the necessary pretreatment, before discharge, to comply with the rules and regulations of the Pierce County Industrial Pretreatment Program, the Washington State Department of Ecology, and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Based on preliminary staff review, Pierce County Planning and Public Works proposes to reissue the permit that authorizes the above discharge under certain limitations. A final determination will not be made until all comments received, under this notice, have been evaluated. Interested persons are invited to submit written comments regarding the proposed permit within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice.
