NOTICE: The Newcastle City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, to receive public comment on the “Capital Facilities Plan (CFP)” update to the Comprehensive Plan. This update is in response to the Growth Management Act (GMA) in Newcastle Municipal Code (NMC). The updates would only be to the CFP table of projects known as the Capital Facilities Program, so that it reflects the 2026 budget for which City Council held public hearings and subsequently adopted in the end of 2025. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Newcastle City Hall and will be streamed live on YouTube. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard concerning this update. Written comments may be submitted by regular mail at 12835 Newcastle Way, Suite 200, Newcastle, Washington 98056 or by email to cityclerk@newcastle wa.gov. Written comments received by 12 p.m. on the hearing date will be distributed to the commission before the meeting.
