South Monterey County Joint Union High School District (“District”) is seeking proposals from qualified persons, firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations to provide scheduling, planning, budgeting, and construction services for the project below: Project Description: The new District Office Tenant Improvement Project is located at 117 N. First St., King City, CA. The existing building is approximately 6,206 square feet, and the district has established an estimated construction budget of $1.25 million for this renovation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Installation of non-load-bearing partitions; Installation of doors, frames, hardware, and casework; Upgrades to wall, floor, and ceiling finishes, including insulation; Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage system modifications; Installation of new lighting fixtures. In addition to interior improvements, the project includes civil work to ensure the existing accessible parking stall and path of travel to the building, meet all applicable code requirements. The project has been submitted to, and approved by, the City of King and does not require DSA approval. The scope of work will include but not limit what is outlined in the plans and specifications. There will be a mandatory job walk on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM. All potential contractors shall meet on site at 117 N. First St., King City, CA 93930.
