The South Monterey County Joint Union High School District (“District”) is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms—including partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations—to provide scheduling, planning, budgeting, and construction services for the projects listed below. Services will be delivered under the lease-leaseback structure pursuant to Education Code § 17406 et seq. King City High School — New Gymnasium Project This project consists of the construction of an approximately 18,425-square-foot facility, including: A 7,179 SF gymnasium with five-row retractable bleachers and multiple scoreboards; a 4,857 SF wrestling room designed for two standard mats and a small locker area; Three (3) CTE spaces, including: Two 1,075 SF classrooms and One 1,086 SF laboratory as well as supporting spaces such as storage, utility rooms, and restrooms. Work includes retrofitting the existing parking lot to provide additional parking, a dedicated bus drop-off area, and an accessible path of travel to improve circulation and accessibility. Greenfield High School — New Agriculture Building To support a comprehensive curriculum, this project involves construction of a new 24,000-square-foot Agricultural Education facility and associated site improvements. Building Program Includes: Two 1,300 SF agricultural science laboratories; Two 1,300 SF general classrooms; One 1,800 SF floral lab with walk-in refrigeration units; A 4,800 SF metal shop; A 3,900 SF wood shop; A 1,000 SF conference room; and dedicated student and staff restrooms. Support spaces including janitorial, electrical, and dry storage areas will be incorporated. Greenfield High School — Farm Relocation Prior to construction, the existing farm within the project footprint must be relocated west of the site. This includes Grading to accommodate a new 9,600 SF metal barn; A 6,000 SF livestock slab with floor drains connected to a new septic system; A 3,600 SF covered arena with sand and decomposed granite. The project will establish new electrical and water infrastructure. Additional site work will include grading, pathways, access roads, fencing, and lighting to support the relocated facilities. All projects will be submitted to and reviewed by the Division of the State Architect (DSA). The scope of work will include but not limit what is outlined in the plans and specifications for each respectful project. There will be a mandatory job walk on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at 2:30 PM. All potential contractors shall meet at The District Office located at 800 Broadway, King City, then we will head to Greenfield High School, 225 S. El Camino Real, Greenfield, CA.
