City of Laguna NiguelPublic Works30111 Crown Valley Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 NOTICE INVITING BIDSBUS SHELTER REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CASH CONTRACT NO. 24-08 Contract Time: 90 working days; Liquidated Damages: $1,000 per calendar day. The project is for the Bus Shelter Replacement Project which involves the installation of new prefabricated shelters at up to 33 existing bus stop locations throughout the City of Laguna Niguel (Project). The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, traffic control, remove and replace concrete sidewalk panels, protection of utilities, sign relocations, and providing and installing designated premanufactured bus shelters including amenities (bench, trash receptacle, lighting, display case and custom-branding elements) all in accordance with the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents. All work shall be completed within 90 working days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Construction is anticipated to start in September 2026. Prevailing wages are required. Copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at the City’s principal office, which shall be made available to any interested party on request. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. A 10% Bid Guarantee is required with bid. Successful contractor will be required to provide: (1) 100% Performance bond; (2) 100% Payment bond; (3) Class A licensed contractor; (4) Liability Insurance with City of Laguna Niguel as additional insured with endorsement; (5) Proof of Workers’ Compensation Insurance coverage. Plans and specifications, which are incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth herein, are available from PlanetBids, BidNet Direct (BidNet), Dodge Data & Analytics, BidAmerica, Associated General Contractors of America San Diego Chapter, Inc., and the City. Bids will only be accepted via online electronic bid service PlanetBids until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026. Please note that bids will only be accepted from those contractors who have completed the prequalification process and received approval from the City. Questions?
